A song that just gets the energy flowing!

#3

"Big Time"
Peter Gabriel

Phillip Raupach

I don't need to be a HUGE star - no seriously, I like my privacy - but this song just speaks to the big dream and the energy's fantastic!

#4

"Give Me A Kiss To Build A Dream On"
Louis Armstrong

Joan Lonon

The words tell me what is important and where we can go with imagination......the tune just rocks my world!

#5

"Everybody Got Their Somethin"
Nikka Costa

Monica Green

This song makes me embrace the things that make me unique, and stops all of the useless comparison to other actors. It changes me from being my own worst critic to being my biggest cheerleader.

#6

"I'm A Believer"
The Monkees

William Hill

Grew up with them, along with my Dreams!!!

#7

"Baby, I'm a Star"
Prince

Cyndi Shope

First, it's Prince...and it's from the Purple Rain soundtrack about an undiscovered talent. "I don't want to stop, til I reach the top" :)

#8

"Break Away"
Kelly Clarkson

China Brooks

This song reminds me to bring my light, love, and compassion with me into the audition room. I am there to offer an amazing performance coupled with a professional demeanor. But truly I am there for something so much more substantial; to enlighten and illumine the human condition. “Breakaway” gives me wings to fly as it represents a new way of looking at things; with a free mind, an open heart, and a firm/solid belief in my self and in the genius that is within all of life.

#9

"On Broadway"
George Benson

Alex Castelli

This reminds me that poor is not bad, it makes you hungry for jobs! Love the guitar solo, too.

#10

"The 'In' Crowd"
The Ramsey
Lewis Trio

Charles Coley

This music is what will drive you along the road to success! It matches my passion for my craft...I'm with the 'in' crowd!!!

#11

Joy Wiliams

Katie Mattison

To get pumped I listen to "We" sung by Joy Williams. It's just a great head banger song the really gets me going!!!

#12

"Suddenly I See"
KT Tunstall

Kathleen Gonzales

I like the beat. It's positive and it is related to what we do. It just makes me feel good.

#13

"Starry Eyed Surprise"
Paul Oakenfold

Brian Vermeire

This little diddy will get you riled-up!!! Before I go on stage to perform stand-up I will blast this tune and wow my audience - "sundown to sunrise"!!!

#14

"Bad To The Bone"
George Thorogood

Rob Douglas

This song fires me up and when I hear it It makes me confident in anything I do.

#15

"Eye Of The Tiger"
Survivor

Jeremy Quinn

I listen to this song whenever I need to be pumped, because when I was 6 years old, I had a hip disease for which I had to wear leg braces for 2 years. My mom would play this song for me hoping it would help make me stronger, like Rocky. And it did. I recovered with no trace of debilitation anywhere and that's why this song does it for me.

#16

"Redemption Song
(Oh Happy Day)"
Moodswings

Kristina Hughes

This song calms my nerves and brings me back to when I competed in front of 300 million viewers for the title of Miss USA!

Realizing one of my childhood goals live on TV required incredible focus. Having done that, I know I can face any opportunity that comes my way.

Acting is an effortless dream compared to balancing in 5-inch heels during an opening dance number!

#17

"Yummy"
Gwen Stefani

Timothy Guest

Why "Yummy"?...This tune generates energy, spark, imagination and is just plain fun--kinda sounds like an actor's job description, doesn't it?

#18

"Made Of Steel"
Veronique Pierre

Veronique Pierre

Why I love this song: Beacause of the inspiration behind it. The lyrics are uplifting and can be interpreted in different ways and at different levels. Too often ispiring songs are slow or preach some kind of religions or God...this is all about you and your inner power. We all go through ups and downs and thus to grow from our experiences. This song supports this philosophy.

#19

"Right Now"
Van Halen

Monica Greene

This is the power song that lights a fire and reminds me that I only live this once. Whenever I feel like looking back and analyzing my mistakes and wasted time, this song gives me a sense of urgency to live in the moment and overcome my own fear.

#20

"Time Of My Life"
Dirty Dancing Soundtrack

Pamela Holt

As silly as it may sound, I used to listen to "Time of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack before every audition! I was playing tennis competitively at the time this movie came out, and the night I saw it, my life changed. I knew I could no longer put off my dream of being an entertainer. I quit tennis the next day, changed all my classes, and applied for film school at UCLA. The rest is history and I am still pursuing my dream...this song reminds me that I became brave enough to follow it!

#21

"Everything"
Michael Buble

Holdon Log

When it all comes down to it. As performers WE are everything we posses everything we need to get to where we want to go. We have to believe it and take action.

There’s a common thread we all have to get through the crazy things… auditions, callbacks rehearsals, bookings, appointments, classes, screenings, networking events…all of it. Every-thing.

Congrats to ActorTrack owner Hayley Holmes who is a featured performer in this video.

#22

"Seasons of Love"
Rent Soundtrack

Lexi Ainsworth

It's a good song for preparing you for an emotional scene.

#23

"Unchained Melody"

Sandra Barlow

Makes me feel in love, sometimes sad-full of emotion.

#24

"All Bills Paid"
Fred Smith

Residual Check

When I arrive in your mailbox, celebrate by playing this jazzy tune by the amazing musician, Fred Smith!

#25

"New Attitude"
Patti LaBelle

Leslie Berger

Sometimes, when challenges arrive in my life, in my business, I turn on the sounds of the legendary Ms. Patti LaBelle. I always walk away uplifted and inspired!
